Just ignore the fact that today is Friday. Just like I'm ignoring the fact that I have yet to buy Billy his birthday presents. For his birthday tomorrow. And I'm ignoring the fact that I have more boxes unchecked, than checked, on my to-do list. Just join me in avoiding reality.

hey! it's been a little while! what have you been up to?
yeah, i've been busy too. holding down the fort, while billy was gone.
and then playing on the east side. of the united states. see?
i've been hiking in the most fashionable shoes ever. (keen tan=sexy)
and taking plenty of naps.
we took some walks, and ate outside.
and folded laundry for two hours straight.

We spent one whole half of one whole day in the car this weekend, driving to Spokane for my cousin's wedding. It was a grand family affair, and reuniting with all the close and extended family members was awesome. Having a few drinks didn't hurt either. Here's my ten favorite moments/photos of the weekend.

Welcome to the biggest Tuesday post yet, folks. Ten times two-point-five (25 for you math-challenged readers) - the same number I turned last Wednesday. That's a whole lot of photos.
1. It's fun to see your birthday on everything - receipts, calendars, emails, etc...
2. The best way to start your birthday is with pancakes and good friends. Here's the good friends part.

Welcome, friends, to a Tuesday post, posted on a Tuesday!
A special hello to all the beagle-lovers out there. And to those not fond of my big-eared, tail-waggin, wet-nosed little devil, go read another blog. Or just get off the computer and ask yourself why in the world you don't love dogs. That means you, dad. :)

Seattle!
Billy and I drove up to Seattle on Friday night for the weekend - he had a pipe band competition, I had a conference there on Monday/Tuesday, and we figured we could visit Monika while we were there.

Welcome back old friends. Remember me? I used to blog here. Then work took over my life. But now I'm back, and to make up for my two weeks of missed Tuesday posts, I'm bringing out the big guns - Thursday's Twenty. Wondering about the next episode of The Garden Thymes? Keep wondering. It'll be here eventually. But for now, buckle up and hang on tight for twenty awesome lucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-28669680506466952182012-05-18T06:34:00.000-07:002012-05-18T12:35:40.694-07:00the goose loves tuesday's ten (#12) - on friday
Just ignore that Tuesday's post is three days late and that Friday's Garden post is nowhere to be found. Yet. Just enjoy what you're getting when you get it.
1. SUNSHINE. Yes, for a whole freaking-ly awesome week. YES.
Sunshine = painted toes and cute sandals. Painted those babies myself, mind you - still saving the big bucks for loans. Hey, Friends! Welcome to my new post series - The Garden Thymes. Yes, that's a pun on newspapers and herbs. We keep it classy on this blog.
Since I've done pretty well with my Tuesday's Ten posts, I figured the best way to post more would be to design another series on a specific day. I played around with Weedin' Wednesdays and Farmin' Fridays, but decided to skip the alliteration this timelucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-19241136603558276922012-05-08T06:40:00.000-07:002012-05-08T10:43:11.941-07:00the gooes loves tuesday's ten (#11)
Welcome to Tuesday. I hope it's sunny where you are, too.
1. Friday night was celebration time for me - major work deadlines checked off the list, too many hours of overtime complete, and an "excellent work" comment from the CFO. Yesssss.
Billy and I took that opportunity to try happy hour at the Doug Fir Lounge, a classically-Portland-weird place. We enjoyed drinks, snacks, lucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-28862577787787150602012-05-03T06:48:00.000-07:002012-05-03T11:53:30.983-07:00the goose loves tuesday's ten - #10!
Full Disclosure: I'm writing this on Thursday, May 3. Two days late. Life is busy.
Welcome to The Official Tenth Week Anniversary of Tuesday's Ten. Ten glorious lists of ten, which means I've posted about 100 different things in the past 10 weeks. The only shame is that I've only posted about 100 things, with very little besides the Tuesday posts. But we're working on that.

Wednesdays can be tough. You're far enough away from last weekend to remember the freedom you enjoyed, but not close enough to next weekend to get excited about the freedom it will bring. Wednesday is just an awkward weekday, really.

Friends!
Can you believe it's Tuesday already?! These weeks have been flying by. I also apologize for giving you nothing each week but a pretty awesome weekly Tuesday post. I'm going to work on forcing myself into other "themed" weekly posts (on different days) so that you get more stuff to read. Because you definitely just sit here waiting for another post all week - what else would you do?

Big news, friends! This week's episode of Tuesday's Ten is actually on time! It's Tuesday! Hooray!
And the ten for this week is super fun and exciting. It all makes me smile. Big smiles. And maybe you'll smile too. Or maybe you won't give a &%^* about the little things that make me super happy. Either way, I encourage you to read the whole thing.

Now that it's been a week since Easter, it's probably a good time for a short recap, right?
When we were little, Easter was a big deal. We had the dresses, the white tights, the white shoes, the coloring of eggs, and the Easter baskets with candy. Lots of candy. And then a whole week off of school.

Happy Thursday, Friends!
I think it's time for me to change things up a bit - instead of boring you with ten things on a Tuesday (or Wednesday, since I'm a procrastinator), I'll update you on what we've been cooking/eating recently. That's fun, right? It's really that I didn't want to waste my ten Tuesady things on food items, so I'm sticking them all in the same post. Well, friends, I've done it again. I've managed to post nothing for a whole week, and I haven't even been able to have a timely Tuesday post. But we'll pretend it's Tuesday instead of Wednesday and get to the good stuff.
"Today" is Tuesday, April 10th, and so I have Ten Tuesday Things on the Tenth for you! Yay alliteration.

Okay so I don't really love Wednesday's Ten. I love Tuesday's Ten. But Tuesday was crazy, so we'll work on our Flexibility and post ten things on Wednesday. To make up for the delay, I've got twenty beautiful mostly focused photos for your enjoyment. Let's get going then.

What up, friends.
Today has been an adventure. We started with an early morning, then 8 hours of work, then $500 in car repair, and then 3 hours of snare drum practice at our house for Billy's scottish pipe band. Fun? Yeah, for the dog - he just got like 8 new friends. Me? Notsomuch. But I'm accomodating. All great stories for anotherlucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-40454682937461376092012-03-24T10:23:00.000-07:002012-03-24T18:24:45.815-07:00the goose loves st. paddy's, even late
Happy St. Paddy's Day, Friends!
Yes, I'm not dumb. I know I'm an entire week behind. But bear with me. A few weeks ago, I arranged a collection of our green/Irish/Scottish/shamrock things on our two floating shelves, above the kitchen table. These shelves had Christmas stuff awhile ago, then were empty, and will have other stuff in the future, but for awhile, we're going with green.
But lucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-55644436702495555202012-03-21T06:30:00.000-07:002012-03-21T16:08:02.542-07:00bentley loves his friend moose
Yeah, I guess we're bad dog parents. Our 30-pound big-eared furry pup is spoiled.
Generally, we do a good job. We buy him treats in bulk at Costco, not those fancy little cookies at pet "boutiques", we don't take him to daycare very often, and we don't buy him all the latest toys at Petsmart.
But then his big black eyes look into our souls and he gives us his best lucyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01688723901594635083noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7313705218179249863.post-5569339643232127202012-03-20T19:53:00.001-07:002012-03-20T19:55:03.146-07:00the goose loves tuesday's ten (#4)
